Puncture Wound stand on the shoulder of giants (especially on the shoulders of a specific giant: Glen Benton); however, as often seen, there is no need to reinvent the wheel if you play flawless Death Metal.
Continuing in the vein of Morbid Angel’s naming convention, Puncture Wound’s “C album” owes a lot to the aforementioned Deicide: relentless and tight, a thoroughly enjoyable half hour of sturdy and impeccable 90s inspired Death Metal with great production. A battering rhythm section and deep guttural vocals round out a small gem of brutality.
