VUAL – To End All life

Release date: 01 March, 2020

Label: Self Released

Release type: Full-length

Best track: Cancerbeast

It’s taken me a while to digest, but this is a serious piece of work.

VUAL play crusty, doomish black metal with a razor edge.
Many BM bands play the misanthropy card, but I haven’t found many that live up to the spite of this record. It’s bleak with contempt for the human race dripping into every riff. It’s weirdly catchy as well: first track CancerBeast‘s main riff randomly pops up in my head quite often.

The concept of the album is rooted in Ligotti’s Conspiracy against the Human Race (haven’t read it yet but, inspired by this album, I’ve started reading his fiction work).

Definitely in my top 2020.
