I was quite excited when I heard this album came out. I loved the Body Horror EP that came out in January (get a load of Squick) and was looking forward to their first full length.
Cronenberg play a crunchy, humid Death Metal that pleasurably evokes David Cronenberg’s organic, squishy creatures (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, do yourself a favour and watch eXistenZ). Just like their namesake’s critters, the music is slimy and leaves a damp, sticky trail.
An oozing, creepy crawly and yet brutal little gem of a Death Metal album.
